About Us
Thorne Park & Beech House is owned and run by The Heard Family. Born and bred in the West Country they extend to everyone a really warm welcome. Offering you good Farmhouse Accommodation, scrumptious Farmhouse cooking and a family atmosphere.

A mile and half from Holsworthy, Thorne Park is peaceful and unspoilt with lovely views, just ten miles from the beautiful coastline at Bude. On your visit you will get to taste some homemade delights such as scones or biscuits.
Dave along with his son Gareth who helps him on the farm. Why not ask them about the animals on the farm and the land that they love. You may also see Bowie our dog, the newest addition to the family.

We love meeting our new guests from the far corners of the UK and abroad, with many returning year after year. We look forward to meeting you and ensuring your stay is as wonderful as possible.
In 2013 we installed our Central Heating System which is run by a wood pellet boiler, this has made our Farmhouse even more warm and cosy, and is hopefully making us far more green!

Self Catering
Beech House is the largest part of our Farmhouse and has many traditional features some of which date back to the 16th Century. A wonderful house for get-togethers, family gatherings or just a quiet break and is the perfect base for visiting Devon & Cornwall.
Ensuite bedrooms, Inglenook Fireplaces with wood burning stoves. Enjoy a soak in the HOT TUB, or a game of snooker / pool on the slate bed table.

Activities
Holsworthy is a thriving market town situated in North Devon just four miles from the Devon/Cornwall. One hour in one direction and you’re in Exeter, another hour south and you’re in Plymouth, it is situated in a part of the County known as Ruby Country, made famous by the wonderful local beef of cattle called Red Devon’s know as “Ruby’s”. Wonderful Countryside for exploring by car, cycling and walking. There is surfing in Bude, horse riding nearby, great pubs and country walks a plenty.
Location
Thorne Park is situated in North Devon only 4 miles from the Devon/Cornwall border and 10miles inland from Bude. Exeter is an hour away and has an Airport and Major Rail Station, Trains now run to Okehampton which is just 40 mimutes from us, with connecting bus service to Holsworthy. Barnstaple also has a Rail Station. Regular Buses run to and from Holsworthy from Exeter, Barnstaple and Bude.

Kids
For the the kids young and older! we have two sheep which love to be fed. At times we have calves that can be bottle fed. We also have a wonderful kids climbing gym with swings and slides to keep them occupied also a little play house. Nearby there are wonderful beaches at Bude as well as a seawater open air pool and “The Splash”, a the modern well equipped leisure centre.
