Holsworthy

Holsworthy is a thriving market town situated in North Devon just four miles from the Devon/Cornwall border and ten miles inland from Bude. One hour in one direction and you're in Exeter, another hour south and you're in Plymouth, it is situated in a part of the County known as Ruby Country, made famous by the wonderful local beef of cattle called Red Devon's know as "Ruby's". Wonderful Countryside for exploring by car, cycling and walking.

Holsworthy was first mentioned in the Domesday Book as being the estate of Harold, son of Godwin, 1053 and known as Haroldsworthy, although then it was spelt Haldurdi or Hadiward.
